U mean a digital converter box for getting free broadcasting DTV airing channels? No,this tv it is a digital tv,just require a roof or a good digital antena.Hook it up with the antena and goto tv menu go to setup go down to Ch.pick AIR not CABLE and go into scanning for DTV channels after that tv will get all the free broadcasting DTV air channels.
Hi, Mitsubishi VS-60805 is 1999 model tv and unable to receive digital cable channels because it is equipped with analog tuner that can not receive cable channels because it is almost 11 years old. You need to hook Cable Box in AV input of tv, plug digital cable in cable box and get digital cable channels in tv. Cable box has its own remote control and inbuilt digital tuner to receive all digital cable channels and widely available in Store, Radio Shake, amazon.com etc. Let me know if you have additional question. Thanks.
I assume this TV has no Audio In and Video In, from your Cable box there's an antenna out or cable out, connect that to your TV's antenna in, and make sure that your TV is tuned in to channel 3 or 4, try those two channels. You can only change channel thru your box, your TV channel is alway's on channel 3 or 4.
Insure your TV is set to channel 4. Then go into your TV's menu and make sure it's set to CABLE and not AIR. There is no need to program your tv, as long as it's on channel 4 and set to recieve Cable it will be fine.
Try setting tv to channel 3 or channel 4, this should coincide with the back of satellite box (a little black switch with a 3 or 4). then switch channels with your satellite box. I would recommend using another output off the satellite box to feed the other tv, a splitter loses some signal quality an can go bad as well. get a long rca cable to feed tv!
If you hooked up the satelite box to your tv Automaticly the Satelite box is the one who pick up the channels (from the satelite)
In this case your tv is acting as a monitor only. Try to connect your tv with HDMI cable or COMPONENT cable for best picture. Don't use RF antenna input to hook up your Satelite Box. Hope this Helps
If cable is hooked through cable box with a coaxial cable, then turn tv to ch 3 or ch 4 as appropriate.
If cable is hooked through any other type of cord (red/green/blue or red/white/yellow) use the AV+ or Source button to change your source to Av1, AV2, HDMI, or however you have the cable box hooked to TV (I am assuming your TV is a Philips).
