is there a master product code. we have bough some used imagistics and we know one is capable of scan but it had several copies more than we wanted to resale. we tried trading boards to a lower count machine but does not work. putting boards back on the orginal machine and it won't scan now. we need the product key I think. any ideas

There isn't any kind of product key.
Did you swap out ALL the boards, or just the main control board?
If you didn't swap out every board, it may be a firmware version conflict somewhere along the line.
You DO know there IS usually a way to "reset" the hard counter, if thats your goal. You don't have to change all the boards, etc.
Do you have the service manual for it?

yes we have the product key for some units that serial numbers don't match.
we did not swap out the board in the scanner.
yes we know how to reset the hard counter.
what I'm being told by other boards I belong to is it's pretty hard to get around not buying another scanner kit. These machine come ready to scan if it has a nick card, but you have to spend another 400.00 if you want it to do it. I would be glad to pay a reasonable price for a trick around this.
