How do you level the washing machine with the legs in the back?
If you are referring to a Whirlpool manufactured top loader (such as Kenmore) with the auto-leveling mechanism in the back, the following link explains step-by-step how to properly level your machine:

This is a very simple procedure that you may have to repeat from time to time as the auto-leveler can readjust itself due to heavy vibration from an unbalanced load. Just make sure the wash tub is empty before attempting to level the washer. If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.
Place the level on the top of the washing machine to see if it is level. Make sure you test it side to side and front to back.
Pull the washing machine away from any walls if you have to make an adjustment to the legs.
Lift the washer and place the wood block underneath the washer. Place the block near the leg that needs to be adjusted, but don't let it obstruct the leg.
Loosen the nut that secures the leg with the wrench.
Raise the height of the leg by twisting it to the left, or lower the height by twisting it to the right.
Remove the block of wood from under the washer and recheck the machine with the level.
Raise or lower the leg if additional adjustments are needed.
Tighten the nut on the leg with the wrench when the machine is level.
Repeat the process for each leg that needs to be adjusted.
Move the washer back into position and check with the level again to make sure the washer remains stable to finish leveling the machine.
