Question about InFocus LP 755 Multimedia Projector

No video from computer input port

I have an infocus lp-755 projector that has a vesa input connector for a computer interface. I was trying to use an adapter cable to feed standard component video to this port. (ready made adapter cable is available on ebay) No video appears. Video is fine from svideo port. I tried auto source select and specific set to computer port with no luck. Scope shows video on the cable pins so there is video. Someone said a sync signal has to be included. ??? the adapter cable has only 3 coax cables, no other wires for sync. Any ideas? This is being done since many sources offer the cables.

Infocus lp770, trying to hook up to apple computer using the usb port? will this connection work to run the 770?

You need to hook it up using VGA or HDMI for it to transmit information from your Apple computer to projector. You can check the Ports available at the back of your projector and you can Purchase cable needed from either Apple or Infocus or any computer store.
Hope this helps.

I am trying to set up an InFocus LP400 projector with my computer. I followed the instructions using the CableWizard Lite cable for my laptop pc and get no projected image. I used the suggested port...

start the connecting all over again, by following the steps below:

1. Turn your computer off.

2. Connect the cable from the computer to the projector. If you want to have your monitor to be hooked up as well, connect a splitter to the video out port (DVI or VGA). You can also just hook the projector up to the second port on your video card (If you have one) or if you have a laptop, you can connect to the video out port on the back.

3. Turn the computer on and boot into your desktop.

4. Turn on the projector. Most projectors have an auto detect function, that will detect a video signal and auto configure the projector to display that signal. If you have a laptop, you have to hit a function key to activate the second display. Usually this is FN Key + F5 or one of the F Keys across the top of the laptop keyboard. It looks like two squares, one empty and one with something in it.

5. Adjust the focus, brightness, contrast, and color on the projector.

6. Aim the projector at something white. Try not to aim it at something highly reflective.

7. Step back ... Load up your favorite game or video ... and enjoy.

Your project should work, after following the above instruction.

Good luck.

Cannot get computer screen projected by 530

reset the settings to factory default. does the splash screen or a blue screen come up? make sure the correct input is selected, swap out the cables, and make sure the port on your computer is activated. if all else fails, you may need to drop the resolution on your computer to match the projector.

The infocus projects when the computer starts up but later says there is no connection. I have used the toggle keys but no success.

are you using the cable wizard and comp1? if so, that may be your problem. use comp 2 (regular 15 pin vga). if you're having a problem with that one too, reset the settings to factory default (the resolution may be off). it has 1024x768 native resolution and maxes at 1280x1024
