Problem for Pioneer DVR-107D DVD±RW Burner
DVDRW DVR -K17B all of a sudden can't load driver
Tried to listen to cd and driver stopped working to run DVD. Got code (10) on HP laptop in device manager and when down load new driver says driver is fine.

- Hi all and thank you so much for all of the great solutions, but I'm afraid that I am having the same issues. I have tried deleting both the lower and upper filters and my optical drive still won't work. Does anyone have a new solution for this problem? Any help and/or suggestions are greatly appriciated. - I am glad it isn't just me. I have an HP Pavilion dc6000 laptop. I can't remember when my drive worked last. I have looked all over the Pioneer website - useless. I have tried disabling, uninstalling, rebooting - nothing works. It says that the driver is updated properly on one place, but then says that it cannot load the driver (code 10).Any thoughts??- wklangdon

go to device manager and try to download new drivers, if that doesnt solve the problem uninstall the device and reboot.

At the HP chat center i've got this solution ant it worked for me. good luck for those with the same problem.

1. Click Start and click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit and click OK.
3. Click the plus (+) sign beside HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
4. Click the plus (+) sign beside System.
5. Click the plus (+) sign beside Current Control Set.
6. Click the plus (+) sign beside Control.
7. Click the plus (+) sign beside Class.
8. Locate the {4d36e965-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} key and click it.
9. On the File menu, click Export.
10. In the File name box, type savedkey and click Save. It is better to save the "savedkey" to the desktop.
11. Click the REG_MULTI_SZ data type UpperFilters (found in right window pane) and then click Delete on the Edit menu.
12. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
NOTE: If this data type is missing, continue to the next method.
