The person I am viewing is in black and white

Wire colours are as follows:
Left Controls
Orange/white = accessory power
Blue = Headlight Power
Yellow = Low Beam
White = High Beam
White/Purple = indicator left
Yellow/Black = Horn
Black/Red = Clutch Lockout
Black = Ground
Grey/Green + Green/Blue + Pink/White + Brown/Black = Radio Control
Orange/Black + Purple/Black = PTT and squelch

Right Controls
Orange/white = accessory power
White/Brown = Indicator right
Red/Yellow = Stop Lamp
Grey = Ignition Power
White/Black = Run Switch
Black/Red = Starter Switch
Blue/Black + White/Blue = Cruise Control
Brown/Black + Pink/White + Grey/White + Brown/White = Radio Function

Personally I would join the two blacks to the two whites, the white to the black and the blue to the grey, most it can do is blow a fuse or not work so worth a try, looks like the blue is possibly 5v ref voltage from ecu white earth and blacks are data back to ecu?

the white is a temp limiter stop...and the black is a personal temp setting...the white at max temp should be up to the brass stop and the black is adjustable to personal adjustments...good luck

iam very sorry that you have this problem.When an LCD screen of DSRPD170P stops working it means that you have to get a replacement LCD screen. The replacement requires a qualified technical person. if you have such a person , then here are the details for ordering the LCD screen parts:

Please note that the viewfinder of the DSR PD170 camera is always manufactured and supplied as black and white (not colour) so this is not a fault!

set the colour system to PAL

Go to the "Bose" menu screen viewing on your TV (make sure no dvd is in the player) Go to your Video controls and check your output, chances are, if your using the component output your player is set to "S-Video". There is a Black Dail by the Eyepiece, try unjusting that, and should do you.
