Re: When I try to print it says Scanner Failure Turn the...
Sorry Man, all we can do is that we can just try to reset your printer. If that doesn't work, you have to go for another one as its a hardware prob.
To reset your printer,
Unplug the powercord when the printer is on,
Push # and 6 at the same down and hold it down, plug the power cord back, continue holding it down until the power goes off again, then leave the buttons, turn on the printer by pressing the on button. go through the initalisation things and try.
If the message comes back, buy a Photosmart c6180 or c7280 by calling 8004746836
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Scanner Failure usually results in Hardware Failure. However there is one step you can try. Try connecting the printer directly to wall outlet or any other power outlet and the issue should be resolved.
The ink system failure is a pain to troubleshoot. It could mean that the ink cartridges are not communicating with the print head, the print head is bad or the entire printer needs service.
Try resetting the printer to clear the error from memory: First with the printer on, unplug the USB cable (if using one) from the printer (and the computer).. Then remove all of the ink cartridges from the printer (lift the scanner unit as if to change the ink). Wait for the printer to indicate "Insert ink cartridge). Then unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. (Note: do not turn off the printer just disconnect the power cord.) I also disconnect the power cord from the outlet and the power adapter (this resets the adapter). Wait 60 seconds or longer. Then reconnect the power cord to the printer, the adapter and then the outlet. Turn on the printer if it doesn't turn on on its own. Reinsert the ink cartridges and close the printer. Print a calibration page if prompted to do so. Finally reconnect the USB cable. Try printing again.
If the message repeats, the unit needs service. This printer doesn't allow the user to service the print head so the cost for servicing is variable. If the printer is under warranty, contact HP for service. Otherwise decide if it is worth the cost of service (expect a minimum charge of $50 just to determine the problem.)
Is there any error message displayed on the control panel of the printer just like one of the following:
Scanner failure, power off and on Scanner System Failure Scanner failed, cannot make copies or fax Scanner failure. Unable to scan, copy, or send a fax Scanner failure, cycle power
You may want to try following these steps: 1. Check if the scanner light does turn on when you initiated the scanning process, if not you need to reset the product. 2. Try using your other electrical outlet because your AVR or Surge Extension may not be providing enough voltage for the printer. 3. Try using dirty cycle, meaning you need to directly cut the power of your printer by pulling of the power cord from the rear side of your printer and wait for about 30 seconds before inserting again and turn it on.
If all these steps do not improve your printer functionality, you may want to call the HP online help and ask for replacement.
The only things that can cause a scanner error on this unit is a complete scanner harware failure or the scanner lock. With the unit on lock the transport lock and unlock it a few times quite forcibly. Then leave it in the unlocked position and power off and on again. If the light returns then at his point I think a new printer will be needed.
scanner failure is a hardawre problem. try to copy again and check if the scanner light is on. once the scanner light is not working then try to return your printer in the store that you have purchased it.
The only thing I can surgest is that you check installed programs I found that the 750 is very fussy about being the only kid on the block. Maybe worth trying a commercial program that says it will remove "junk" from your hard drive
