Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console

Connection problem My PS2 and guitar hero III are having problems connecting. The light on the receiver keeps blinking rapidly, but never remains on, indicating a connection. The batteries are fine and everything is plugged in properly...any ideas?

Ok, first check all your vents on the ps2... are they clogged up with dust? get a can of compressed air,(available at any tech shop and even walmart) and blow them out. it sounds to me like ur ps2 is overheating.. pay close attention to the fan also is it coming on when u power up? is it only happening when u play guitar hero? keep me posted i will help in any way i can :) melissa

Guitar hero wireless guitar with PS2, guitar sync light seems to flash normally, but the receiver on the PS2 seems completly dead, can we change just the receiver part ?

Yes you can change just the receiver. There isn't anything wrong with your guitar so just change the receiver. The wireless guitars work with any other PS2 wireless guitar hero guitar receivers.

No data for guitar hero III

I'm using the slim... maybe it is the type of memory card but guitar hero is the only game I've had a problem with. I just restarted the game and then beat it over again. After it said that there wasn't any data and I chose to make a new one, it said that there was data but it was corrupt. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, but I haven't had any trouble since I started over the other one.
