I have had this printer for about a year. Yesterday, I tried to print a document from my computer to the Cannon printer and it would not print. What was odd is that the printer appeared to work normally. The paper ran through the printer and the head was moving back and forth but there was no ink. The paper came out blank.
I though the ink might be low but I inserted new ink cartridges and ran a test page through the copier and it worked fine (both B/W and color).

On the bottom right edge of the Windows screen, you should see a printer icon - if the printer is trying to print. When clicked, it will display its status. You can select "Quit Print Job" to stop a job from printing.
Uninstall the software and reinstall. Use an ethernet cable and try scanning. If that does not work then your scanner feature has a problem. Probably very expensive so I suggest you go to the Epson site and look under Clearance. New/Refurbished have a 1 year warranty, replacements are quick and free shipping both ways. A All-In-One is $45 shipped, the ink costs more than that. Check this website for CISS system which saves lots of money.
If you want to maintain the quality of the pictures, you should get a picture handling program like Corel Photo Album. There are always sales on the software and on sale it's not very expensive. If you are just printing web pictures, you could copy the pictures (.jpg format works best) you want to print into a word processing document, scale and arrange them and print them.
Corel Photo Album works wonderfully with Canon printers and you have innumerable options plus scrapbooking your pictures.
Hi, there is a possibility that the printer is set off-line or there is a pending print job that was stucked in queue. To check that please go to printer & faxes, right click on the printer icon (your printer), cancel all documents and click yes. Then right click again on the printer icon then select use printer on line. Try printing. If issue still present, restart prinrt spooler services. To access print spooler, goto control panel then administrative tools then select services. Scroll down the vertical scroll bar until select print spooler. Open it then click on stop then start. Try printing again.
Does the computer see the printer? If using Windows, open Printers folder, and see if the printer shows up. When printing from Word, is the Canon Pixma 210 an option to print to? Double check the cables and re-seat the cables (Disconnect, and reconnect) does the computer make a sound when disconnected, and reconnected? i cant help you with your problem completely but every time i change the ink the printer states to install the correct cartridges and or that my ink level is low and will not print
all previous occasions with the cannon mp150/160 if there's such a word as stubborn can apply to computer printers i have had to keep rebooting the programming that is switching off and on at length the power supply until the printer finally works or offers the alternative message to press the start button
i have 2 cannon printers mp150 and mp160 because it is just about the same price to buy a new printer than 2 new cartridges
