The disc's region code is incorrect for this console....this is what it says when I load the Hour of Viuctory disc. What does this mean and how can I fix it?

Check the region code, but you could also go back to gamestop with the disc and tell them your issue. Since you bought it there I'm sure they'd be able to assist you, but someone may have brought a disc from overseas and its causing the issue or your wii is of a different region, I.e. you bought it from ebay, amazon, etc

Your Xbox region code has to match the region code on the video games. Figure out your xbox's country of origin and then only buy games that come from that region. If you are trying to play pirated discs and getting that error message, than they obviously were not pirated correctly.

game consoles and discs have region codes that are specific to the country of origin. example..you can't play a japanese game on a usa console because the region codes are different.

First Step

Check the formats here supported by your Xbox 360 drive.

If the DVD's region and your Xbox console's region do not match, then you may face this issue of region code error.

If it does match, check playing other discs or the same disc in another player which would help you ascertain the exact nature of the problem you are facing.

the only thing you can do is buy a game for the region your console is set. and you cant change the consoles region code its hard set in the system itself

Region codes is a built-in feature of the DVD system designed to control where discs are viewed and distributed. All DVD hardware and software is coded using one of six numbers ( DVDs Regions 0 , 7 and 8 are special cases - see below ). The U.S. and Canada use Region 1. Region 2 discs are used in the U.K. , Europe and Japan . While Australia and the Caribbean use Region 4. These codes determine where the discs can be played.

Your console must match the discs region code.
This is not the case so you wont be able to play with this game.

ntsc for north america and south america, (united states,canada,mexico,chile and Brazi)

ntsc-j for Asia, (hongkong Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan)

pal for Europe, South africa, India Australia, and new zeland
