Either: I can't seem to find the paper jam

Or: the printer won't let me press OK to clear the alert

    Help much appreciated!

Same problem on my Pixma MP750, no paper jam or bits of paper to be found inside. Pressing OK button as suggested on LED screen doesn't do anything. Printer is effectively frozen. Surely someone has a solution to this infuriating problem.

Canon IR 2000 copier is showing System Error E000

Hello,

From my searches online the first course of action seems to be resetting the printer in service mode.

I attempted to clear it in service mode:
1. Press ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS, #
2. Go to #7 Printer and press OK
3. Go to #4 Printer Reset and press OK
4. Yes = ( > )

However, when I press the yes (>) nothing happens.

Does anyone know why this is not working?

Canon PIXMA MP170 wiont print with non-canon cardridge

yes you should
Most of the canon printers works only with canon cartredges and the canon company ends the warranty agreement when discovering that.

my advice: use the better quality and the Original ink (Canon Cartredges).

Canon mp30s cartridge jammed

Since making my query post my husband seems to have solved the problem. I first tried the solution offered here for another printer model (remove then replace actual print head unit with the cartridges intact) but that didn't help. So my husband put a small amount of WD40 (also known as CRC) on the slide bar that the print head moves along. That seems to have freed everything up.
