Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I have a TEAC AG-L800.
For some time now the unit has had a problem in that it displays 'PROTECT' after a random amount of time.
It used to be an infrequent problem but now it happens almost everytime it is switched on after just a few seconds. I have checked the speaker connections and there is no problem there. I have also tried disconnecting all speaker cables to no effect.
Since the problem appeared to correct itself on occassion, I would first look for poor solder connections either at the output transistors or at the voltage regulators. Let me know if you need more detail.
