Question about Washing Machines
I can only describe the noise as grating, as if metal on metal.
It is evident in particular on rotating.
Hiya admin47 John...
unfortunately.. what you are describing is the drum bearing has very likely collapsed, this can be caused for a number of reasons..
1. life and general wear and tear. How old is the machine?
2. Uneven placement of an appliance, which puts extra strain on the bearings, especially when overloaded.
3.Expect to pay around £60 -110 inclusive of parts and labour if you in Uk.. and dependant on where you live!
Obvious question but do you know if there is an extended warranty on the parts... not labour...when you first purchased the appliance, sometimes worth double checking!
