Your Intel has a built in graphics card & it share's your system memory to run. You can lower the total amount of system memory being used by entering your bios & changing the amount of memory for the video to use.

Increase your system memory to 512MB or 768MB

Good Luck & kind Regards.

Dear pradhan

your ram 256 but i think your ram memory shared with disply memory so . first restart your system and press DEL key untill u enter in bios setup.then go tothe advanced option and disable graphic memory then save settings and restart pc . your problem is solved.

You can take out cmos battery for 5 minutes or 10 and CMOS will automatically discharges. You havent specify motherboard name to give exact instructions but what i say works for 95% of motherboard.

2 RAMs are not getting detected together -- Intel D101GGC

hi im josh in cebu phils. friend no setting to be modified the problem is in *********** board.it can not detect two memory at a time especially having different value. coz when the memory works it will swap since one of the memory is hgher it will create complications.so to avoid such problem you choose to use the same value of memory in both memory banks. like if youre using 256 of the 1st memory bank use alson 256 for 2nd memory bank. then try to use the same brand for better. good luck!

Question from docustor re:ASUS Intel 810 Chipset MEW-AM

the intel 810 chipset requires very specifically made 256meg sticks to support that much memory. the 256 meg standard has changed, and the 810 wont support the ram unless it is made by the old specs. smaller ram sticks such as 64 and 128 will not have this problem.

Updating BIOS for ASUS CUW-AM/MEW-AM Motherboard

Try locating your bios etc. on asus's website:

128 to 256 seems like you should not need an update. Are you putting in a second 128 stick, or replacing a 128 with a 256?

Motherboard is dead

remove the RAM. boot minimal only (floppy). get to BIOS screen. reset to factory default. try again with boot floppy. if ok, re-install RAM and repeat
