I insert a CD it spins for 20-30 seconds then ejects saying - no disc! Ive only had this player 3 years and its stopped playing CDs? Why? This is meant to be a proffessional piece of equiptment, not a cheap imitaton! This problem needs addressing by Pioneer! Ive had cheap CD players over 10 years and the laser on them is still going!

I also have had the problem where:

When you insert a disc, the screen displays 'LOADin' for around 30-40 seconds then ejects the disc.

I fixed my CDJ800 with the part suggested on this link found on 'FixYa' http://1200s.com/Store/p320015/Pioneer_-... This only seemed to be a temporary fix.

After 10 hours of perfect use, again I am encountering the same problem. I have checked that all connections are solid and that the part is installed correctly.

Your tray assembly is damaged, and will more than likely need to be replaced. This is a common issue for this unit. The part is available HERE, however self-repair is not recommended. I would also suggest taking in to a service center for a proper diagnosis.

My cdj100 turntable won't load the inserted cd.

If it won't physically load the disc then this part might be needed :-

If it goes in but won't read the disc then the laser has most likley failed. Contact me for further details / repair

Cdj struggles to read then ejects

Sounds like either the cd reader is dirty, or the traverse assembly is damaged (cd reader). If a professional cleaning does not fix the problem, then you'll have to have the cd reader replaced.

The part can be purchased here: PIONEER CDJ800 PART

But, self-repair is not recommended. You can buy the part, then take it with you to a qualified service center. Many times, they will mark up the cost of the part significantly, so you'll be able to save some money buying the part yourself.

CDJ800MK2 problems

Code E-8380 is a read error. Either the CD tray itself is stucked/jammed, or the Play switch is not sending the correct signal to the CD amp.

In either case, professional assistance is required.

CDJ 800 Bad Laser

Yes, sounds like you have a bad traverse assembly (laser). You can replace it yourself, however, I wouldn't suggest it, as you need to calibrate the assembly after the installation, and remove a solder bridge (which keeps the unit safe during transport). It is a little complicated, if you don't have experiencing doing this type of work. Taking it to a service center would be your best option.

You can purchase the part HERE
