Picture will not come on. when we try and get the TV to work and show a picuture we use the remote and it turns on then off, on then off and maybe after 8 times a picture will appear and the TV will work?

If this is a brand new tv don't bother with trying to troubleshoot the problem. Just take it back and get a new one.It'll save you headaches in the future.
