Most motherboards have written on the the mother board next to the double row of pins what they are, you will need bright lites or a flashlight and depending on how good your eyes are you may need a magnifying glass. psw or pwrsw=power, rst or rsw=reset, hdd led, hard drive led, pwled=power led. if the header from your front panel wires are not listed you may have to trace the power button down to find the correct wire.

If the info is not there, written on the board is usually a manufacturer part# or board #. sy-XXXX, ms-XXXX etc.

Id can also be made by chipsets, northbridge and southbridge
VIA, Intel etc, and the #'s

If you can find out the make and model number of the motherboard inside you can look on the net for the manual (or let me know and I will look for you), which tells you where everything goes. The make and model number is usually printed on the board.

Signal to monitor lasts for about 20 seconds then stops (initial installation of pci-e card). Neither new graphics port or onboard port works after 20 seconds
