Question about Nintendo Wii Console
If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try
another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem
is with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read
error then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide,
that will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. It
also gives information on fixing many Wii Related Problems, so its a
kind of Wii Problems Reference Fix Guide

You need to reset the system. Unplug all the cords from the Wii, TV, and outlet. Wait about an hour then plug everything back in. For some reason this resets the system and it should work fine. The Wii is the trickiest of all the consoles to open and clean the laser and is not recommended unless you have proper instructions and/or pictures. Hope this helps!

I will assume that the "new ones" refers to the discs. Try opening up the console and carefully cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. If the problem is a dirty lens, this will resolve the problem. If it still has a problem, the optics assembly is defective and will need to be replaced.
