The ignitor has to draw enough current to open the gas valve. The cheapest way is to just replace the ignitor and that will fix it 9 out of 10 times.

Does it have 2 plugs 110 and a 220

This is the oven spec, so it has to be 220 volts to support that wattage. The oven and broiler are electric and the hob is gas. Best of both worlds. (I am a chef)

you need to check the current draw on the ignitor if it is not pulling enough power it will not allow the safety valve to open and the gas to flow. replace the ignitor

Hi, my range oven does not work a times then a day or to or 3 later it works again every thing else works when this happens can you help

I'd replace the oven ignitor. They get weak after a while, and performance can be spotty with older ignitors, based on day to day (or even hour to hour) supply voltage to your range. 125 volts one time, 118 volts another, will make a big difference with a marginal ignitor.

Hello, I have a Frigidaire Range stove Model #FGF378WCCD. The oven ignitor heats but the oven doesn't light up and we smell no gas. What can it be?

if the ignitor may glow but if it isn't turning almost white it is not getting hot enough to open valve ,,,,, make sure it glows very bright and if not replace it / larry

    Need to know ohm reading

When room temp, you'll see about 80 ohms. As it heats the resistance goes up, and thus the amperage draw goes up, which is the critical component to release of gas and thus ignition. The ignitor needs to reach 3.2 to 3.6 amps before the gas safety valve will open and release the gas for ignition. Old ignitors get weak and even if they still glow they may not draw enough amperage to allow the oven to work. Also, low voltage will result in lower amperage draw and possible ignition problems.

    New igniter, still won't work

Turn on oven. Ignitor should begin to glow. (if no glow after 30 seconds or so, check to make sure you have 120 volts to ignitor) Observe amperage draw using a clamp on amp meter. When amperage reaches 3.2 to 3.6 (for square syle ignitors) the oven safety valve should open, releasing gas and lighting the burner when the gas hits the red hot ignitor. For broiler, just substitute the word broiler for oven. Old ignitors get " weak " and may not draw enough amperage to allow safety valve to open. Also, voltage will affect the amperage draw, as lower voltage = lower amp draw.
