Sony DVD stuck in standby

-   i have sony dvd recorder rdr gx360 and by mistake someone set it to dvd1 mode, this mode will block you from all the comands from the comtrol, so i need it go back to DVD-3 mode so i can set the recording mode, finalize my dvds etc, i have done alot of things triying to fix this with no luck, i followed the instruction given in the manual with no luck. The manual says to hold enter and press number 3 or two depending on what mode u whant to put the recorer to, and nothing. -   My brand new Sony DVD RDR GX360 has stop working . It seems to be stuck in DVD 2 mode and my remote does not respond anymore. I replaced the batteries with no luck. How can I reset to start over the recording program. Sincerely, David -   Guest

-   flashing standby, door will not open to insert film.  internet suggested unplugging for 15+ seconds and making sure there is a distance of 10" around all sides of the machine for ventilation.  i tried this and plugged in again, however, now light is solid red without any result.  machine is still not responding.-   Guest

-   my MVD2042 Suffix C is stuck in Standby also, It flashes on and off and I can't open the door. -   Guest
