Hello, I´m from Argentina, then, sorry by my English. Try to install other XP, you can find in pages XP in English or Spanish, probably your problem is the language of your OS. After that, install Windows 7. If you fix the problem or not, please, write me at [email protected] and tell me then will find other solution.

Can the two operating system can be installed in same drive ?

Yes, you can have multiple OS's on the same hard drive, and partition. I've seen it and have done it before to my machines. You can choose at the boot menu which one you want (when installed), and can run Linux or XP, Vista, Mac OS... my personal favorite is a small OS called "SliTaz". It's a light, Linux-based OS that is very functionable to the user.

Dell media direct won't work

Hello,

Here is the steps,

1.Turn on your computer.

2.Insert the reinstallation media (Dell Media Direct CD/DVD) into the CD/DVD drive, then restart the computer.

3. press F12 when the bios page comes up and then select CD/DVD drive from the boot menu.

"Option 1" from the menu if you wish to use all of the hard drive for you operating system installation. This is the most common selection and how is your computer was originally shipped to you, unless you specified an operating system partition size at the time you ordered you computer.

"Option 2" to designate a size for your operating system and have a data partition. This allows you to specify a size for the operating system partittion, leaving the remainder, of the hard drive configured as a "data" partition ("D")

4. Once you have prepared the drive and you have returned to the main recovery menu, remove the installation media and replace it with you operating system reinstallation media. Select the option to reboot your computer. If your computer does not automatically start the media, press <F12> to access the boot menu and select the Cd/DVD boot option.

5.Install your operating system, select the Primary partition when prompted. If you have two hard drives, select the primary partition on the same disk where hte media direct partition resides. Once the OS is installed and the necessary drivers are installed you can begin the reinstallation of the dell mediaDirect software.

Good Luck,
Austin

Change the whole computer language

Hello, Am Fabian
You did not mention which operating system. in any case, you need to backup you file(copy out our personal file) and reinstall the operating system. there are two ways you can do this;
1. running a system recovery if your system has a recovery partition or a recovery CDs/DVDs. then during the recovery process select the language you want and proceed.
2. if you don't have the operating system installation CD/DVD, buy from any software vendor near you, then use the CD/DVD to reinstall the operating system during which you then select the language you want.

note that the steps for installation is operating system dependent. you can find the steps for installing the operating system from the web site of its manufacturer its usually simple to follow.

i hope this information will be helpful.
Thanks
