Toshiba Ballast part number

I have a 2004 Toshiba 46HM94P DLP TV. Serial number 30002162. I have sound but no picture. I replaced the lamp and that's not the problem. I assume the ballast needs to be replaced. I need the correct part number for the ballast. I have found part numbers 23122468, 21322468p and 23122468P. Which is the correct part number for my TV... or are they all the same unit?

hi there, I got the same model tv from craigslist for free. They replaced the lamp but it still did not work. I'm thinking it might be the ballast too. Did your repair work? The Tv when turned on, I hear the fan to the lamp turn on, then the red light blinks, it powers off, turns back on and repeats the same cycle about 5 more times until it stops with both red and green lights blinking. I'm just wondering if its worth replacing the ballast.

did replacing the ballast work for you? I got one from craigslist where the owner replaced the bulb but it did not work. when it turns on I hear the fans turn on, but the lamp does not. The red light will start blinking, it powers down then repeats the cycle about 5 more times with it ending with both red and green lights blinking simultaneously

No sound no picture and new bulb red and green flashing lights on power up.....

The problem is either the lamp ballast or the light engine. My guess is the ballast. Part cost ranges between about $75 to $150 depending where you get it. If you're handy you can replace it yourself. I posted the process elsewhere on this site for another Toshiba DLP question (I think it was for a 46HM84). Good Luck.

Samsung DLP TV, no picture, has sound

Try replacing the ballast next. Its the small circuit board directly underneath the lamp housing. You can access it through the lamp door. If the ballast is overheating or has a leaking capacitor, the tv won't stay lit for more than a minute or two.
