Gently pull any jammed paper out from the output tray or sheet feeder.
If paper is stuck inside, open the printer cover and remove the jammed paper, including any torn pieces. Then close the printer cover.
If paper remains near the sheet feeder, press the paper feed roller lever inside the paper feeder to release the jammed paper, then carefully pull it out.
Load the paper correctly.
Press the stop button to resume printing.
If the printer continues to jam or misfeed paper, and you are certain that there are no foreign objects lodged down inside the paper feed area, your printer may require service. Please call Epson technical support for further assistance.
load mp feeder means To load the Manual Paper Feeder
You might have selected the printer settings for manual feeding. Hence you need to feed that papers in manual feeding tray.
You can change the settings to automatic paper feeding to get rid of this error.
It does stand for Manual Paper Feed. On this printer, that's on the front of the unit, above the paper trays.
Once your PC has sent a print job with the paper-select set to "Manual Paper Feed" the printer will not do anything until it's processed this job. The easiest way to do this is to put paper into the MPF and let it print, but at some point you're going to want to fix your PC so it doesn't send MPF print jobs anymore.
To do this, open your Printer Properties and select the default paper tray instead of the Manual Feed.
SOLUTION(S): Reset the Sheet Feeder Gears If the power fails while the paper is feeding or during a print job, the paper feed gears will lose their proper alignment. The reason is that after the power is restored the paper feed gears will attempt to return to the home position, which may not be possible if the paper stop cam is not in the correct position. PROCEDURES 1. Remove the sheet feeder from the unit. 2. Remove the sheet feeder motor from the sheet feeder assembly. 3. Remove the drive gear from its spindle. 4. Realign the lifting tray gear and paper stop cam gear. 5. Reinstall the drive gear and sheet feeder motor. 6. Reattach the sheet feeder to the print unit. 7. Reassemble the unit.
check if your LQ590 is set for manual feedor continuous feed. There is a toggle switch somewhere near the rubber rollers, there are symbols that will indicate for continuous paper printing or manual, select manual printing. Also in your print window, select printer properties, select manual printing. Yourprinter might be set up for sheet feeder or continuous paper printing. hope this helped.
