Open folders disappear off side or top of desktop when you move mouse, Very annoying when you don't want it to do so. It appears to be an apple extra benefit so that you can put a folder off to the side while you work on something else . But this is a continuing problem. Is there anyway you can cancel this? For later models it appears this was an annoyance & Apple has deleted this option
Possible solution: Click "System Preferences" in the Apple menu in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Click "Expose' & Spaces". It was called "Dashboard and Expose'" in previous OS versions.
Look at the Expose' section. If you see anything about a mouse button next to "Show Desktop", click on it and change it to "-" (dash). I'm guessing this feature is mapped to one of your mouse buttons, such as the middle button. Clear that, and you won't be triggering it accidentally.
Hope that makes sense.
Good luck!
