Can not install hp wireless mouse and key board.. download driver and still nothing. This is my 3rd wireless system Logitec , microsoft and now hp. I use trend Mirco service. Can secuecity stop driver s from working??

For the extra buttons to work you will need to install the software that came with the keyboard. If none was provided the instructions will usually tell you a website to get them from.

After the proper drivers / software is installed, the extra function keys should work. If not the keyboard may be defective, or issues beyond the scope of this question may exist such as virus or other interference.

get on the manufacturers web site for the mouse , find the download for your model and download it
win 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft so any late drivers will not be installed in that os

If both of these steps fail your keyboard is likely faulty.

You need installation disc, if you have lost the CD, than go to this site Driver Update Software for XP Vista 7 8 and download their update tool. I hope I helped.

you need to resync the mouse and keyboard to the wireless receiver. you hold the button down on the receiver until you see a flashing light and then you press the button on the bottom of the key board. then you do the same thing for the mouse.

I see no reason that the mouse should not work. They have the Xop driver and the install software. Download both and also read henote that they are talking about in. red. I didn not download it myself. If this doesn't work you can get a common PS 2 mouse for a small amount  most anywhere including Walmart.

Most devices last a long time. Have you tried re-installing the software for the keyboard & Mouse> Also go to microsoft download center and get the latest drivers for you setup. Make sure when you do, choose the right Operating System driver for your Keyboard & Mouse. Hope this helps. Bud

I fixed an MS wireless mouse that was not responding by pressing the button on the receiver while it was connected to a USB port & then pressing the button on the mouse. Worked fine after that.

make sure you download it to your desktop so you can find it
run it to install and follow the prompts

The computer started making sounds and when turning it on. When trying to access the internet, zero's come across the tool bar. It willnot let you type in the Microsoft Word program. Went back to standard keyboard and mouse and everything works ok.
