Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer Logo
Anonymous Posted on Apr 10, 2010

I have a frigidaide Gallery washer .I think it might be 2003 model.Trouble is while the washer went into its last rince cycle. The drum dropped and stopped dead. I heard the machine make a wierd noise.I unplugged the unit at once .I decided to take a look and see what happened, so I removed the top cover .While looking down into the drum area I noticed one of the springs wore its way through the spring bracket on the drum .I pulled out all the wet clothes lifted up the drum and put the spring back on with a bushing so it wouldn't fall out again .Now the problem I'm having now is the drum won't move at all .I checked the belt on the motor and that seems ok. Also the pump works in the rince cycle .What do you figure it might be ? I looked for a fuse for the drive motor but I can't find one . Is there one? Please let me know whats going on ! Thanks Martin

I have a Fridgedaire Gallery front loader, was making a loud banging noise on spin cycle, now the whole drum has dropped! help!

The symptoms that you describe sounds like the spider arms that support the drum are broken. It is a very expensive repair. Get a few estimates, before deciding whether it is worth repairing or replacing. Sorry.

Maytag ensignia makes a great deal of noise during rinse cycle

"If you dont have a noisy spin cycle and the noise you hear is only on the rince cycle, dont be worried, as this is totally normal. Water sprays onto the drum while the spin cycle is in progress and rewets the clothes to allow any existing soap to be desolved. This noise is in effect the water hitting the drum during the rince part of the cycle.

I have a frigidaire gallery front load washer need help

Run the machine on a cycle with no load in it (no soap powder either)

If it makes the same noise when there are no clothes in it then the suspension legs have given way or the counterweight has come loose.
You will need someone who knows what they are doing to repair it

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x

Kenmore front loading HE3 makes knocking sounds during spin cycle

Ours started knocking several months ago and then progressed to a high pitched sound when in the spin cycle. I manually turned the drum and heard and felt a bearing roughness. I lifted the drum assembly and felt a fair amount of play, which I think the initial knocking noise came from. On the sears web site a new rear drum mount cost 293.00. Today we went and bought a LG model wm2455hw at Home depot, on sale until 2/20/08. I couldn't see paying to repair a machine that only lasted four years.

Drum won't spin freely

Are you sure that there is nothing sticking through the holes in the drum like a nail etc or a screw from trouser pockets, it could be that the heating element has come loose and is scraping against the drum or that the bearings have gone.

Automati Washer Spin Cycle

never heard the vinegar in the rince water thing but who knows! do you know if the washer drum is working in the wash cycle? as you know it should tumble in both directions. if you ca check that it would be a big help to know if the motor is working. it could be something as simple as the belt broke. so get back to me with the answer and we can go from there. thanks
