Is it a common problem? when a cd got broken into pieces in the cd drive model: GCE-8483B accidentally. I removed the cd compactment, and got rid of the pieces. When the power cable is plugged to power supply unit, which model is "Bestec ATX-250-12E the power on light signal, keep blinking or rather flashing. Holding down the start button do not shut the pc down. The hard disk/hard drive do not start at all either I wonder if the power supply unit gone? Since the operative system do not start. Any help to identify this problem will be much appreciated.

May be the power supply gor affected by the damage because the cd rom busted so better than trying to use the same power supply better get another new one because it may damage the other parts of the computer.......
