Try this
1. Remove battery and ac adaptor and then press and hold power button for 10sec and reboot.
2. Reseat ram and hard drive and then check.
3. If u face the same problem nothing much you can do but i can tell you hp has issues with some notebooks motherboard which has a technical fault from factory ship, call them up give the product and serial no: if your computer computer they can tell you if the motherboard can be replaced free of cost or not.
( Before that try going to bios by turning on the computer and start tapping f10 key and if you reach the bios screen run hdd test from the option diagonostic or tools.)

HP Pavilion Elite m9152p Desktop PC start and one second it turn off

Probably too late for anyone to benefit from, but use the jumpers on the motherboard to reset CMOS. That's what worked for me.

My HP Pavilion dv9000 laptop will not stay powered on! Will only stay powered on for about 20 seconds. I 'air dusted ' all fans and vents.

The HP DV series are known for bad motherboards and yours sounds to have the symptom indicating a failed motherboard. You can try different ram and see if thats it or remove the hard drive and power it on and see if it shuts down without it.If it still shuts off its most likely the infamous DV series curse

I got a hp pavilion dv 3000 laptop and changed the lcd and video

Just plug an external monitor and conrm display is ok or not. If it is ok, you have connectted the back light or back light cable incorrectly.
Else mother board - back light connectivity is not there, check it

My comp shut off and wont turn on anymore.. lightening bolt comes

Please remove the battery and ac adapter and then press and hold the power button for 25 - 30 seconds after that connect the battery back and then try to turn on the machine. if not remove the battery and just plug in the adapter and then try to turn on the machine. If still not working then try to swap the ram. or else your system motherboard requires to be replaced.

Pavilion dv 1000 won't reboot, stand by nor turn off

I had this kinda problem solved on a Acer 5920 LAptop. The webcam driver was the culprit. Remove the cam driver for the same, the windows driver will take over and then i guess it will work fine. I figure its a driver issue or a TSR program not quitting. If this fails try uninstalling recently addes program or driver.

Will not start up

If it's not beeping during the first start up then it's not POSTing.  Beep means everything connected to it seems to be functional ie PnP
Try pulling out your memory and reseating it.   Try pulling out your battery for 5 minutes then plug in ac(without batt) and see if it will boot.  Try pulling your hard drive and reseat.  (access by covers on bottom...dont be scared. Touch something that's grounded just before you remove) If all this and still no full POST(with beep/s) then sounds like a new mobo or processor.
