Question about Vacuums
I spent 4 years working on Dyson v/ceaners in the Uk
So, heres what to;
Check your filters - and for blokages in the hose and brush comparments,you have one in at top of the bucket called pre motor filter and one on top of the motor where the bucket sits called post motor filter. If these are worn and mucky wash them or replace.
Switch on your Dyson with no filters in and leave running to see if it cuts out. (in side on the motor their a liitle device called a TOC thermal over load cut out device. when the motor runs too warm - the TOC with cut power to the motor and will work again when cooled down.

It is turning off? Have you checked that the brush isn't full of hair and strings and might be causing too much friction to turn well, maybe the belt is rubbing too hard, please give me anymore info on this problem so I can figure it out, I own a dyson myself
