If the text inbox is full, just go into it, & delete the old messages that you don't need to save. The phone will only save so many bits of information, before it is full, & will stop saving messages.
May have to do a master reset in the settings menu. Make sure to save all information you need before doing this including contact info, pictures, and messages
Auto save will automatically save your sent messages and the auto Erase will delete after a certain amount of messages so that your mailbox won't fill up and have to be manually deleted to receive new messages.
You can save the text messages into the computer using the software from Motorola. Motorola Phone Tools allow you to transfer all the information between the cellphone and the computer. You can get it from store.motorola.com Also remmber that you are not gonna be able to save text messages or contacts information in a memory card. The memory card allow you to transfer just Multimedia stuff as music pictures or videos. Good luck
