Booting problem Whenever i power on the laptop the following message comes up... We apologize for the inconvinience, but Windows did not start succesfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this. If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders, choose Last Known Good Configuration to revert to the most recent settings that worked. If a previous startup attempt was interrupted due to a power failure or because the Power or Reset button was pressed, or if you aren't sure what caused the problem, choose Start Windows Normally. .... no matter what option i choose, it restarts again and again and the same screen comes up.

Your going to need the windows cd, you can try fixing the problem by entering the repair console, by pressing R when asked to on the first windows setup screen.

When your in the console type chkdsk and press enter, this should scan your harddrive for problems. you might need to use the force scan option if the disk is marked clean.

after its done shutdown your computer and try starting windows again, if it fails your going to need todo a repair installation, proseed back to the windows setup, install windows and when asked try to repair a old windows installation if that doesnt work.

try eraseing the old disk partitions in the setup and create a new one and install windows on it.

If that goes well, your going to need to get your laptops drivers. witch can be found in your laptops website.

If you need more asistance, let me know. Good luck.

Blue screen repeats

Ok at boot up press F8, when the Menu comes up, choose Safe Mode, but this time instead of going to the desktop, choose System Restore, follow instructions, and when the Calender type window comes up, simply choose a time BEFORE, the time it went faulty. This should completely restore you to working again. As long as there are NO other problems. support.microsoft.com/kb/306084 -

If you added any exta hardware means kindly remove it and boot the computer
Then you try boot by selecting the option of Boot using last known good configuration.
If the boot is successful then you can boot later booting without any problem.

If boot is not successful and this problem is happened after installing any software or driver software means boot in safe mode by pressing f8 key and uninstall it

See if you can download it from Microsoft. It seems to be related to the languge translators in Windows (NLS file).

Can i change experts

Please select the Safe Mode option. If you no longer have that option whenever you turn your computer on. you can press on F8 after power-on. If you are able to boot in Safe Mode, please try to do a system restore (Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore). Choose a restore point with a date known to be a time when you never experienced this problem. If you are not able to boot using any of the advanced boot options, you will need to do a full system recovery (reinstall the OS). Hope this helps. Thank you.

Windows laptop won't boot -

Try pressing the F8 key at start up. This should take you to safe mode, from here you will be able to shut Windows down properly and reboot without the loss on any data except for what you were working on at the time of the power loss. If it won't let you do this and stays in the same loop, it could be that the hard drive crashed and needs replacing. I don't do data recovery from a dead hard drives, so I can't give you an estimate on that, but a hard drive replacement, system reload with drivers and updates will run anywhere from $150 up to $600 depending on what you want.

Does it have a floppy drive? if so, check if there is a floppy disk in the drive.

Let me know, and we can go to the next step.
