Is this a pass code that someone else has set?If so,the only way is a lucky guess,ha,i did it that way one time.if you set it,it should be easy to reset, just go to change passcode.when I have login,i can use password or pass pin.is this the kind of passcode your talking about?or on a debit card?there is a # you can call to change it.
The iLo DVDR05 is essentially the same machine as the Cyberhome 1600 and you can download a manual for the Cyberhome 1600 at: http://www.retrevo.com/support/CyberHome-DVR-1600MU1-DVD-Players-manual/id/534ci861/t/2/
I'd take it back before you can't and get your money back. I bought two ILO's !one was a DVDR04 and the other was a DVDR05 and they didn't last even 6 mo. and all ILO has to say is pay us and it will work again but for how long, Until they want more money. Ithink they rig them to fail in the programing so they can charge for more programing.
Just run your outputs from your cable to the ILO inputs, then your ilo ouputs to the tv inputs. Use Cable remote to control channels, use ILO source button on remote to access the correct input setting on ILO. AND YES< you have to do this EVERY TIME you turn the ILO on to watch tv.. I have mine hooked up this way to record from my convertor box and My husband hates it.(when he just wants to watch tv.)
