Where to buy paper

Where can I buy paper for the Sharp EL-1611P?

  • Tripletsmom Mar 19, 2008

The paper rolls at the office supply store are too large to fit inside the calculator. The width of the paper fits fine, it is the diameter of the roll that is a problem. I need rolls that are only 1" in diameter. Do you know where I can find this type of paper?

This Uses standard 2 1/4" paper. You can purchase this from any office supply store online or in your area.
Just ask for a roll of standard 2 1/4" paper for calculators.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

I looked up the user guide for your calculator and it says that the rolls of paper is the standard size rolls.

I think you are missing the paper roll holder that is supposed to be on the outside of the printer.

The roll of paper is not supposed to go inside the calculator.

Look at the user manual here in a pdf file:

    http://www.sharpusa.com/files/cal_man_el...

If you are missing the paper holder, you can try to make one out of a heavy duty metal coat hanger or some other metal bar that you can bend. (If you are going to use a metal coat hanger, Ive used the vinyl coated hangers that seem to work pretty good.)

I've have done this before for some of my customers.

Look at the manual to get an idea of where the holder goes and what it looks like.

    I hope this helps.
    Good luck.

    Thanks.

I have a Sharp elsi mate EL-1611P and I am trying to get out of the P.E mode. How?

Push as many buttons at the same time as possible. Throw the calculator on the floor. That should do it.

Errors??

Sounds like the printwheels are out of time. Sorta of major repairs. gears on side of printer have to be lined up in proper areas. there are small black arrows on the gears. Best bet is look at a working machine and try to line up. Machine may not be worth the time unless you jsut want to try it. Sharp uses the same printers in many different models.

How can I get this calculator to not print[-- I just want to use without paper?

P/NP means Print or no print. I know fairly complicated. Hit the 2nd button then NP. This key is also known as the M+ button. Hint lay off the grass.
