Hi i've got a plustek 7200 scanner and its causing a usb power overload on my p.c. can i repair it ?

USB ports operate in pairs from a usb host controller. Normally these pairs of ports are side by side (ie parallel to one another along their longest side) each pair of ports can onlhy be supplied with a limited amount of current.

You can try either plugging the scanner into a port that has nothing in its adjacent pair OR

You can buy a powered USB hub that will be able to sustain the current required for your scanner
