Question about HP Pavilion ze2000 Notebook
I need help (I guess that's pretty obvious or I wouldn't be here) LOL. My laptop will only boot up to a black screen that says insert recovery disk however, I have no idea where that it is any longer. Whatelse can I do?
It is the disk which is used to recove your operating system, the disk is supplied by your vendor during the purchase of your laptop. the disk is named as recovery disk for ....(your laptop name)

DES4, if you don't have the recovery disk you can still recover your system as long as you know the windows xp key code. Your operating system will be recovered but you might lose some application programs that came with the system initially unless they are on the manufacturers site and can be downloaded.
Michelle you will need a windows xp cd in order to boot from and then there are some utilities that can be run to fix your boot problem. Your boot file is corrupted and needs to be repaired/replaced.
The guys at www.generalsystemsconsulting.com helped me solve these types of problems. They are real economical and fast too.
