Question about George Foreman GRP99 Indoor Grill

1 Answer

GRP99 When the unit gets plugged in dash lines appear and when power is pressed you get 300 degrees and are able to run up to 425 degrees and the timer and temperature light are lite but the unit does not heat up and the temperature display flashes. Also the minute display is on 5 and it can be run up or down.

Everything you described is normal, except not heating up.
When you first plug it in, you will see 'dashes' that tell you it is getting power.
When you press the Power Button, the grill will start at the Default Temp of 300F and the Timer starts at 5 minutes. You now change the temp to what you want.
It takes 5 minutes to get your grill to your tempreature, so the timer should 'count-down' as the grill heats up.
As for not heating up, I think you will need to get that 'looked at' for repairs.

1990 gmc K1500 5.7L, temp. gauge not working:

To review, you have two temp sensors, one for the gauge on the dash and one for the computer. If you unplug the sensor for the computer the reading will be minus 30 degrees or over 300 which will make it very hard to start. Unplugging the sensor for the gauge would have no effect on the computer.
According to the wiring diagram, the wire for the temp gauge is green, and the wires for the temp sensor for the computer are yellow and black.

Where is the reset botton on a samsung rfg297 refrig fridg is totally out

There isn't one. If you had a brief power loss unplug it for 20 minutes and then plug it back in. It should restart. If this does not work.. Press the power cool and power freeze buttons for 8 seconds and then press the UP arrow to cycle through the menu. There will be horizontal and vertical dashes in the display if there are errors. NOTE the position of ANY dashes as they appear as there are actually 13 failure indicators via those various dashes. After the last menu the unit should restart. If it does not start after the menu wait 10 minutes to see if it restarts on it's own.

If you note dashes in the temp windows I need to know what window and what positon of the digital 8 indicator it was in. (upper, center, "top or bottom right and left sides" Top or bottom lines i.e exact digit as it would appear in a digital 8 display.

There are also things like the PTC relay, run capacitor or thermal overload that can cause this.
If you have no display at all.... your most likely looking at a control panel failure.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

I get the wrong answers when i'm trying to calculate sinus tasks. ex: sin 41 = -.9165215479 and the right answer is: 0.66 why?

I have no idea where you got that particular value of a sin (41).
At first I thought you might have been using the radian as angle unit, but that is not the right answer. I tried cos (41 radian) and I got -0.9877392775.

Any way, when you are using angles you must select that appropriate angle unit ( appropriate to your problem, that is).

I suspect you need the angle unit to be set to degrees. If you do you will find that sin (41 degrees)=0.656059029 which is close to the rounded up value you call the "right answer".

To set the angle unit to degrees
  1. Turn calculator ON
  2. If you see no icones, press the [MENU] key.
  3. Use arrows to highlight the RUN icon or press 1.
  4. In RUN screen, press [SHIFT][MODE] to enter the (SetUp)
  5. Press the down arrow 4 times to move highlight to the line Angle.
  6. From the three tabs that appear at the bottom of the screen, select the one labeled Deg ( by pressing the F1 key) and press [ENTER.]
  7. Calculate the sine with the angle unit set to degree and you will get the value you are expecting.

When finding the inverse tangent of a number, how can i get the answer to appear in degrees?

You must configure the default angle unit to be degree.
In Run screen press the [SHIFT][MENU] to access the (SetUp) screen. Use the down arrow to scroll till you highlight the line Angle. The bottom of screen will then display three tabs at the bottom. Press the [F1] key to select [Degree].

I have a George Foreman Grill Model GRP99 Series. When I plug it in the panel does not light up. It appears to be heating. I can not tell how hot it gets because the panel is not lite.

the indicator light doesn't have anything to do with how hot the grille gets, that is preset by an internal thermostat and the light just comes on when that temperature is reached, more than likely the miniature neon bulb that light is burnt out, any appliance repair shop can replace this bulb for you
