Why do I need to push a line to dial out

Since the system can make both intercom calls and external calls it is factory programmed to consider a number dialled to be intercom hence need to pick a line before you can make an external call. However it is also possible to program your phone to automatically access an outside line on lifting your handset in the installation manual

Call forwarding

Assuming your telephone service provider offers the call forwarding service, yes. The procedure varies from company to company, but often you dial *72 from the landline, then the number to which you want the calls forwarded. That phone will then ring, and you must answer the call to confirm. To cancel the call forwarding, dial *73 from the landline.

If this doesn't work, contact your telephone service provider for their instructions regarding call forwarding.

Want to use call forwarding on Panasonic KX-YG5632 - need code

Call forwarding is a service offered by your telephone company, and procedures vary from company to company. With some companies you dial *72 and then at the second dial tone dial the number to which you want your calls forwarded. To be sure, contact your telephone company for exact instructions.

How to connect additional unit to base unit special code ?

Hello. Here is how you do register your handset below, and a link to the manual its on page 46. The procedure depends on how many handsets you have. If you only had one handset follow the directions below. If you have more than one handset follow the second set.

On the handset push menu, then dial 0 0
On the base, push and hold down the locator/intercom button until the charge light flashes
Press OK on the handset, and it should automatically register in a few seconds.

On the handset push menu, then dial 0 0
On the base, press select until you see the intercom number you wish to register it to. Stop there and push the Call button until the charge light flashes
Push OK on the handset, and it should register

Hope this helps

Programming numbers into telephone

to store a speed dial on the kx-t7730 with the Advanced Hybrid System KX-TA624 you press the following keys

<pick up the receiver>
2
*
<the number you want to have as speed dial>
<the number you want to dial>
<press the square shaped key next to 0 and 9>
<wait for dial tone to return>
<hang up>

To call using the now saved speed dial, press the square shaped key and then the number you have saved to speed dial

For example

<pick up receiver> 2*1555555555<square key> <wait for dial tone> <hang up>

This will mean that when you press the square key and 1, it will dial 555555555
