sandra, If your system do not meet the system requirement of the pinacle 9. you get that error. if incase that is not the case then , you have to uninstall the pinacle 9 and restart the computer after restarting reinstall back the pinacle 9. if this solution won't resolve the problems the try also reinstalling the operating system to resolve all current issues.

just trying to updated your display(vga) driver with the latest new
uninstall your pinacle 9.00, after that, delete the source , from program files\pinacle . delete the directory
restart, re install pinacle 9.0, and it solved your problem i hope.
