What are transit screws for a xd1225 and what will happen if u dont remove them

The transit screws are for locking the CD mechanism when it is shipped from the factory. Most of the Car CD players have floating suspension for the CD transport mechanism. This prevents CD skipping when you are traveling off road or when driving on bad roads. The CD mechanism has four shock absorbers or dampers fitted underneath . The Transit screws tighten these dampers and make them stiff ( in other words no soft action ), so if you forget to loosen them and travel through a bad road the CD might skip. On good roads one might not even realize the difference.

Code for a Ford Mondeo 6000cd radio

Hi Geof

Your radio code number should read: 5796.

I trust this will do the job.

I have no other code for your model.

Please let me know if this works.

I bought a 2001 beetle and the factory stereo with the cd changer in the trunk has no power. I check all fuses in the panel and found no bad ones. Does anyone have any ideas?

I would start by checking all of the factory fuses there should be some in the fuse box, one in the back of the radio, and I believe there is one on the cd changer not sure about that one. When checking the fuses you should check for voltage on both sides of the fuse with a digital multi meter when the key is in the on positon. Also to get the radio out you will ned a set of european radio keys you should be able to get at an autoparts store for around 5-10 buck
