Front screen only displays upside down Verizon logo....
My new phone (I got from Ebay) worked fine for two weeks, but not the front screen will only display an upside down Verizon logo, instead of the time and batter power, etc. Also, the phone will not answer when I open it, I have to press a button on the phone to answer calls. And, sometimes when I open it to make a call the screen is dark and I have to press a button to get it to come on. What's up???

Sounds like you should take it to have it looked at. Theres something up. The verizon thing only appears when the phone is opened so there must be something out of place in it so your phone can't read when it's closed. So I really can't help you there. To set the phone calls to answer automatically go to "menu" then "call settings" under "settings & tools". Now go to "in-call setup", then "answer options" and under there you'll find the choice to change it to open to answer. Hope this helped!

Hi,what causes upside down display on phones is when the cellphone your using has a flax problem. A Flex is a thread like object that is located inside the phone. It is connecting both the upper side of the flips and the lower side of the flip phone...
The flex makes the cell phone screen to display...and when the flex is getting damaged, possible signs are upside down display.
To correct the upside down display, you will need to replace the flex inside the cell phone..

That happened with my phone, I was texting while in the shower(not smart) & it messed it up. On the front and inside screen it would turn to the Verizon Wireless screen, but then as if it were to switch to the actual wallpaper i had it set to, it would white out for .5 seconds, then turn to the same Verizon Wireless screen, what I did was plug it into the charger, turn it upside down, leave it like that over night, and it was perfectly fine. It's ironic that I'm going through this right now:/ haha.
Just some suggestions. I have had my Q9m since September 07. If you reboot the phone nightly (take battery out put back) and allow to boot up again it help by resetting the RAM. Also under System Tools>Task Manager>Menu>Kill All - it seems that every program you use on the Q it keeps running which causes the Q to slow down and freeze. I know doing these things can be a pain however my Q has been running with zero issues since September. I also have the origional Q in black for over 16 months and I wouldnt trade either phone for anything on the market currently. As far as the screen sticking on the Verizon Logo...try taking battery out, power on and as soon as logo appears pull battery out quick and replace...you may need to do this a few times but it will bypass what ever is causing this boot up error. Windows Mobile 6 certainly isnt perfect. Hope these suggestions help.
I have the same thing happening to me. Basically the screen sucks. I've had my phone just over a year so motorola no longer covers this phone under their warantee. What you can do is either contact your provider who may offer you an upgrade at a discounted cost or contact a local phone repair service. I got motorola's # from verizon at 1-800-331-6456 who does not have a repair service in my area. I could take 2 weeks and pay a $75 + dollar fee or just buy a new phone on ebay for less. Since it is only the screen the moto guy said you should be able to download the info to a computer and keep your contacts and photos, etc. Verizon might do this for you also.
I have had a simular problem with mine and just fixed it. My phone was doing simular things, but it would also sometimes not show the outside display, or half would be upsite down. Also occasionally when I opened the phone I only saw a white screen.
**FIX** There is a small ribbon cable that comes from the top half (w/ the screen) and connects into the circuit board in the bottom half (under battery). It came loose which caused all of my problems. If you clean that connection and put the phone back together it should be good as new.
