the best option would be to reset your calculator. there is a small panel on the back with a screw. open that up and take out the battery. press the on button to ensure you have drained the power. put the battery back in and it should be reset and working normally

Whenever I hit Y=, Trace, or Graph it says "ERR: DATA TYPE" with 2 options. 1: QUIT 2:GOTO I'm not sure how to fix this.

This is usually because a few entries have been left in your data tables.
This is easily solved by hitting: 2nd,+ (says MEM in blue writing), then choosing ClrAllLists and hitting enter twice. Also, press 2nd, Y= and see if any of your plots are on, (turn them off if they are).

If this doesn't solve the problem, I'd recommend hitting ZOOM and pressing 6.

If all of these solutions don't work, I'd suggest resetting the calculator. Remove the back panel and if you have a small screwdriver in the house, unscrew the small panel that is revealed and remove the small batteries, taking care to ensure you know which way they go back in. Then, take out the large batteries, and your calculator should turn off completely. Put the small batteries back in, and put the screw on panel back on, then put the large batteries back in. Turn on your calculator and see if that fixes the problem.

Profit Calculator KS1000, how do I change the dead battery? Where is it?

Turn calculator over
Remove two visible Phillip screws
Gently pry up and remove rubber feet on all four corners-remove screws
Button cell battery (original: VINNIC L1131, replacements: Energizer 389/390 or Duracell D390)
Location: upper right hand corner under metal battery clip
To replace battery: gently pry up left tab and slide new battery with + side facing up (writing visible).
Gently push tab back down
Next: Look at circuit board, locate double arrows
Follow directions: "please press "RESET" after replacing battery"
I just touched the metal flow solder plate (small circle with squiggles) above the words "RESET" with a small screwdriver
TA-DA...it works

Canon dk100i battery change

it's very easy you have to unscreww on the back of the calculator the 2 small screws and then remove the top and be carefull not to unplug the small wires. Inside you will see the battery holder and you will need to remove the battery carefully by pushing from the side of it with something vry small (like a dime) and then replace it by a new battery type CR2016. Then you put back the cover and the screws.

After that you will have to do a reset with a small pin or with the tip of a pen.

Then it will work as a new one.

I just did it yesterday and itis working pretty well.

Good luck

I called Canon customer support. There is a tiny reset button on the lower back area of the calculator. Simply stick a small object in there to reset the calculator and you should be as good as new! Worked for me!
