Question about Dell Inspiron 2650 Notebook
When I try to start up my laptop I'm getting a power lite and fan and thats it. Its not booting at all nothing on the screen and no beeps ie memory. Im thinking the motherboard is damaged. ( it deceided to roll of my table when I stood it upright in its case) Any ideas other than the MB? Hate to order one and take it all apart again to have that not be the case
Hey, Ive had a few laptops with similiar problems. If there are no beeps then most likely there is a problem in the motherboard.
You could try removeing extra hardware like the cd/dvd drive and try to start up again but most likely the motherboard would need to be replaced.
In most cases the price comes near the price of a new laptop so it might be better to buy a new one.
You can remove your harddrive and buy a converter to connect it into your desktop pc or to your replacement laptop. to save your files.
If you need more asistance, let me know.
