Question about leaving the AC adapter plugged in to the dvd player and the wall

There is no hazard if the unit is a name brand and the batteries are OEM. It might get warm and the battery life is shorter over time but there is no reason to worry about fire etc.

Need the activation code to watch instant netflix

Below are the instructions for the BD-P2500 and 2550 I would have to assume it would be the same for your model if it is supported.

subh_samsung.gif 1) On your TV, select "Netflix" from the main screen.
(You may be asked to install a firmware update. If so, select "yes")
2) Select "Activate".
3) An activation code will appear on your TV screen.
4) Click the button below to enter the activation code on the Netflix website.

AKAI DVD PLAYER FIXING

Hello NOUSHADK,
I have good news and bad news for you. I'll give you the good news first. You know that new DVD player you have been wanting but never could buy because you already had a DVD player?
Well, let's just say that you don't have that problem any more. When you dropped that screw on that resistor, you not only caused the fuse to blow, but you took out a few other components with it. This type of power supply is called a switching power supply because it takes AC voltage and then converts that AC voltage to DC voltage to power part of the circuits in the DVD player, then it takes some of the DC voltage produced and uses it to power an oscillator which provides a switching action for a Power MOSFET which is used to drive a switching transformer and then that voltage is converted into DC voltage for the other circuits not powered by the first power supply. Now this creates a problem, because when these types of power supplies blow out they take a lot of components (active and passive) with the blown out component.
Now for the bad news. These types of supplies are very seldom repairable, not because you can't find the parts and not because you cant find the layout, but usually because the parts are hard to find, in the case of the MOSFETs, the Switching Oscillator, and other active components.  Also, the schematics for these devices are not to be found anywhere even by locating the manufacture. This is because most of these units are put together in Taiwan or in Bangkok and then branded by a company, meaning the company whose name is on the unit is not the company who manufactured the unit. So schematics and service diagrams are usually not to be found.
I know this may not help you, but you can try to find the Power supply manufacture by using google, and getting them to send you a new board, or you can try to repair the board yourself, but remember you will have to hunt down at least 3 bad active components and a number of bad passive components.
Thank you,
Shuttle83
