Question about Xerox DocuMate 252 Path-Through Scanner

1 Answer

Incomplete feed My scanner worked like a charm for the past year. I moved and reconnected it recently. Now it does not feed the page through completely, leaving about 1/2 inch of paper in the rollers. It does not complete the scan or feed the second page. Did I do something in the move?

Although the scanner worked perfectly well for the first while I had it, it now hangs up on the seemingly smallest thing - there's no cause I can find of the paper jams, it just seems the rollers spontaneously decide to forego traction, and the scanner insists that there is something horribly wrong.  To add insult to injury, every time this happens, despite the option to "try again", the file disappears!  Any suggestions?

Try correcting the page width and make sure one page goes through at a time also you can press the bottom of the paper and it will feed better

First double check your connecting wires correctly connected. Boot the system with all the component powered on first. Then test each component to see if they work as before? If not, restore system to a previous date that worked?

Purchased scanshell 4 years ago, have it installed but recently upgraded our server and had to re-install but dont have the original product key. please help

I have repaired scanshells in the past so I am very familiar with them.

I believe you only need the product key to use the software that was provided with the scanshell. You can scan with that scanner through MS Paint or Adobe Photoshop or Paintshop Pro it will accept any of those programs. If you really need to scan through the software that came with your unit you can contact scanshell here and ask them for a new product key. They are nice people to work with and Im sure they will help you out here is there link http://www.card-scanner.com/index.html Go to support at the top of the page and tell them what you need.

I hope this helps you out and if it did please leave me some feedback.

Canon DR-5010C, only feeding 1 page at a time!

If you have it set to certain paper weights or manual feed that is all you will get. Change the settings from the printer monitor back to normal weight paper or text not high quality graphics and it should feed again.

Scanner pulls page in to just past the bottom sensor lever

Please ensure that the rollers are clean and within its life span. (Rollers wear out and need to changed after 250,000 pages or as recommended by mfr). FAn the pages before scanning, Ensure the edge is trim with no folds or bends. The griniding noise is because the scanner has picked up more than one page.

Canoscan 9950F won't scan, says scanner locked, but it isn't

I was surprised by the same problem this morning. First time I've had a problem with in years. Checked the lock... it was already unlocked. I solved the problem by unhooking the USB cable from the hub, restarting my Mac (seems to be the key), replugging the cable and restarting the scanner. Worked like a charm. Hope it works for you!

Powder Cord for Memorex 6142u scanner

The manual is available online at http://www.memorex.com/downloads/manuals/6142Scanner.pdf

The back page has the specifications for what kind of power cord you need, depending on what country you live in. The US one at least (120V/60Hz) is a very generic cord option and should be easy to find at any tech store. Good luck.

I620-auto feeding multiple sheet

I opened the hood on the machine, and between the first two intake rollers on the bottom, there is a small rubber strip. This strip comes packaged with a sticky yellow tape to protect the rubber. When it was installed, no one removed this tape. After doing so, the machine feeds great. Hope this helps someone else who may be experiencing a similar feed issue.

Trouble scanning slides

Just a thought, but the "T" in the model number is for transparancy. When I moved to XP, I had to download a new driver from online but I specified 620UT not just 620U under BenQ. This new interface worked a charm.
