Withoout asking why , heres how to remove the inner tub, simple enough. theres abolt in the top of the agitator,(pop the little cover with a screwdriver). the agitater pops off, insert a screw driver under the maintop perhaps 3 inches in from both sides and pop the clips the main top leans back. Unsnap the white cover from around the outer tub and lastly there will be (2)) 1/2inch screws screwed into asolid block at bottom of agitator, thay are locking the inner tub to the transmission shaft. note the flat spot on the transmission whish the block is resting youll need to reinstall it at same point

Frigidaire GLWS1233A Top Load Washer is leaking from the bottom, there are no kinks in the hose, water is coming from the bottom.

there is a chance that the tub seal is broken. in orfer to check it you need to remove the front panel by taking the two screws out of the bottom the push the two clips in that are located about an inch in from either side of the washer the lid will pop up and then you can remove the front panel.
then start the washer again and look to see where the water is coming from

Need directions to remove broken drum vane in a Frigidaire Gallery Front loader washer (GLTF2940FS1).

Open the top of the machine (look behind the top for several screws to remove) and slide it back to release from the cabinet. This should give you access to the screws that hold the vane in place. Hope this helps!

Loud clunking sound during the spin cycle, washer is balanced and on 2nd floor

If you get a very loud noise coming from the machine, and this noise islouder when it spins faster, then it is often because of a problem with the drum bearing.

The drum bearing is bad, probably drum bearing spider had broken.

On a front load the drum bearing is located at the back of the drum.

To replace the part you take apart machine, undo the belt and depending on the model you may need to remove more parts.

You can find parts and diagrams for most models here.

An old model Frigidaire top-load washer - the old "turn the dial, and pull out to start" type. Drum won't agitate - what, if anything, can I do?

Remove the front panel and inspect the drive belt. It is probably worn out and or stretched.
The Frigidaire style you have does not take overloading very well.
Also check the lid switch for continuity. It must be good for agitation to occur.

Front load dryer

Remove the front panel to get to it. Once you get the front panel off it is easy to remove the drum and replace the element. First remove the top then the front then you have it.
