Have a look here:
http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html
You won't get all the programs that were on it when you bought it unless you have the restore CD's, but you can get the drivers you need.

Restore factory settings without disk

when you first power on the machine hit F11 (for most machines) on the keyboard repeatedly until the recovery screen pops up. Click on advanced options, click system recovery, then click OK when prompted. the recovery process will begin and take about 25 minutes on a 5400rpm hard drive. then you must reinstall everything that isn't factory.
NOTE: THIS WILL ERASE ALL DATA THAT ISN'T PREINSTALLED. AFTER THE RECOVERY, YOU MUST INSTALL THE INTERNET SOFTWARE, VIRUS SOFTWARE, ALL UPDATES (THERE'LL BE A LOT!!), AND PERSONAL SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE. BACK UP ALL DATA BEFORE YOU BEGIN. ONCE THE RECOVERY PROCESS STARTS, IT CANNOT BE STOPPED, OR THE SYSTEM WILL GET CORRUPTED. :(
Hopefully this will help.
P.S. Give this recovery process about a day to get it over with. Don't rush it for best results, and use pc decrapifier to remove all the bloatware and trial ware installed by hp on your pc.

Windows installer has gone missing from Services in my Vista home premium 32 bit.

You can download and reinstall the installer from microsoft's site.

Since you say you have Vista 32bit then you need to download the one that is 1.7 MB and has a file name of:
x86 Platform: Windows6.0-KB942288-v2-x86.msu

The link for microsoft site is below: if the link is not clickable then just copy and paste into your browser.

check and make sure both windows Vista and office plus 2010 are both 32-bit system. If your windows vista is 32-bit and your office plus 2010 is 64-bit then the office won't install.
this is how your check if your computer is a 32-bit or 64-bit system

1. click start
2. look for my computer
3. right-click my computer
4. click PROPERTIES
5. from the properties window you will see if your vista is a 32 bit or 64 bit operating system.

for your MS OFFICE plus 2010 brows the cd and to determine if your office is a 32 bit or 64 bit
1. you should see x86= this is a 32 bit
2. x64 = this is a 64 bit

I could not upgrade neither windows XP, Windows 7 of this Product Model: GT5662. Would you assits? Thanks.

Hello kelvinvu, according to the information that I gathered from this computer model, it has Windows Vista 32 bit home premium installed on it. Windows XP is an older operating system so you can't "upgrade" to it. You could however install a fresh copy (more likely completely erasing all your previous information on vista and data files) or you could upgrade to Windows 7. Since you are using "Windows Vista 32 bit home premium", you have to upgrade to "Windows 7 32 bit home premium" or better. So if you were trying to "upgrade" to Windows 7 Home Basic, it will not allow that since it considers that a downgrade in the Operating System. You should actually be able to pop in the Windows 7 Home Premium CD while vista is running and start the upgrade process pretty painlessly that way. Just access the CD and walk through the menus for upgrading Vista to Windows 7. As a reminder, you must use the 32 bit discs. If you try and use the 64 bit discs (a different operating system as far as windows is concerned) you will have to go through the same process of installing a new version of windows (not upgrade). I hope this has solved your specific problem kelvinvu, have a great day!

On a Fujitsu fi-6230 I keep getting an error occured communicating with scanning device. please ensure that the scanning device is connected properly and try again.. i have to keep uninstalling and...

This a USB scanner and it supports the following OS's: Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional / Microsoft® XP (32 bit/64 bit) / Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 (32 bit/64 bit) / Microsoft® Windows Vista™ (32 bit/64 bit). IF, the usb cable is connected in the front usb connectors go ahead and plug it in the back usb ports since sometimes the front usb ports are either to slow or not connected. Additional, after pluging the the scanner on the back usb ports restart your computer and then proceed reinstalling the drivers for it.

Vista RAM usage ?

The minimum recommended ram for Vista is 1 GB, generally accepted practical minimum is 2 GB. A 1 GB system will be kinda laggy. Maximum RAM for 32 bit Vista is 4 GB.

Vista Home Premium is roughly equivalent to Windows XP Media Center Edition (Has Media Center, cann't be put on a DOMAIN type network)

Vista Business is roughly equivalent to Windows XP Professional (Can Join a Domain, Doesn't have Media Center)

Vista Ultimate has all available freatures of Vista, you can do any windows function with Ultimate

MY USB HSDPA MODEM WILL NOT WORK WITH VISTA HOME PREMIUM SP1

Be sure your system meets the minimum System Requirements.
• Standard USB interface
• Microsoft Windows® 2000, Windows® XP or Windows® Vista
• Mac OSX 10.3.7 up to Mac OSX 10.5 32 bit version
• Minimum 50MB of free hard disk space
• Minimum 128MB RAM

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher

Uninstall or reinstall SP1. Like Windows XP, Vista will not be reliable until SP2.

If you are using the USB modem via a PCMCIA USB 2.0 adaptor, then you will have a power issue. The PCMCIA cannot supply enough current to properly initialize a USB mode (500mA). You will need to get your self a powered hub or get yourself a HSDPA mobile.
