Hy, I'v buyedNDS lite few days ago. Had not played any games yet, but
testet pictochat. It appears that the touchscreen is very unresponsive.
If I try to draw a line for example, I must press the stylus relay
hard, or I get dotted line (I mean that I move my stylus without
lifting it from touchscreen but the line breaks in some points, then
appears again then breaks again etc. see the picture below). Only if I push realy hard, the
line will not break (I must hold stylus very low, or else the stylus
himself bends and I still get dotted line).
I don't use any screen protector, the screen is perfectly clean, and I
tried to calibrate screen. Is there any solution for this? Or maybe
this it normal behavior of NDS?

Hi, an old style DS and newer DS Lite are both compatible with each other. They will be able to play the same games, go on pictochatwirelessly with each other and also play each other wirelessly with games that support it, for example Mario Kart.
Hi Chances are your touch screen is faulty. If you have warranty then send it in, if not you can try and repair it yourself, its pretty easy to do.
Buy yourself a new touch screen (I use ebay at around £3-£4 per screen), take apart your Ds lite, open the respective flexi-cable connectors, remove the flexi-cables from the motherboard, CAREFULLY peel the touch screen away from the bottom screen, peel off the surround, place it onto the new touch screen, attatch the new touch screen to the bottom screen, reverse the dismantling process and with any luck you have sorted out the problem.
The problem is quite simple, ur NDS is getting old. My friend's NDS has the same problenm. You cant do anything, only thing u can do is to replace ur Touchscreen. There are some chinese websites which sell hose for about 15$. May u find hope there.
Ok, Here is your solution then. I don't like to work on systems that have already been opened but I will help you out. it seems to me that you have a weak spot in your touch screen. I have many brand new touch screens in stock and it will take me about 30 mins to replace it. You can ship it to me with a check/money order for $25 and I will replace the screen for you. I'll test it to make sure it absolutely works 110% and I'll pay for the return shipping to you. I know you may be skiddish of getting your DS stolen from you due to scam artists and such. I assure you that this is not a scam, simply a business transaction. I am willing to take pictures of my in stock parts and give you my drivers license number if needed to prove that I am reliable. I get people on the internet all the time wanting them fixed but never ship them due to skepticism. If the bottom screen was taken out then there would be a loosen or unplugged conductor, maybe only the touchscreen wire is out, you can open the system and plug it back to the jack. If the wire is broken then you need a new touchscreen (not the whole display, just the touch pad, like $9.99 + s&h).
on the top right hand side of the screen just under the front there are four or five contact pads this is where the touch screen get the info from the touch screen to the ds itself if you have taken the ds apart maybe the pads are slightly out of line this can be fixed by applying light pressure to the pads to make them stick down and get a proper contact
