To correct this, I recommend backing up your favorites, clearing all user data, and if it still is stuck, then updating your Nuvi firmware.

Follow these three steps to take to get your Garmin Nuvi 1300 running like new:

  1. Back up your Favorites.
  2. Perform a Hard Reset.
  3. Download and then run Garmin WebUpdater to replace its firmware / system software.

The Stop X red symbol is for cancelling the destination you have entered. When you have pressed GO, if you change your mind and decide you don't want to go there you press stop and it stops giving you directions. You can then enter a new destination.

The loaded pictures are photos of locations. You can use photos to set where you want to go.

The full manual is available from http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/3130_OwnersManual.pdf and will explain how to use the photos to find locations.

I have a garmin nuvi 1300 I just took it out of the box. Charged it but it is spanish I need english Help
  • Press TOOLS (the spanner symbol on the screen which shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP)
  • Press SETTINGS (The spanner symbol) or LOCALE (the blue symbol) on satnavs that don't have a SETTINGS menu
  • Press LANGUAGE (The lips menu)
This brings you to a screen with 3 items on it. VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
  • Press VOICE and select an English speaking voice
  • Press TEXT LANGUAGE and select English
This should solve your problem.

Program for garmin c330
The c330 doesn't know if there is a detour or accident, however, if you need to take a detour from your current route, select DETOUR from the Menu page of the c330. The unit calculates a new route and provides you with new instructions. It then attempts to get you back on your original route as soon as possible.
