One of the keys fell off my laptop, ow can I get it back on it's the f1

unfortunately the clips that hold a laptop key down are very small and delicate, and very easy to break.. if it has simply popped off.. it will take a little inginuity to get it back on, but it isnt impossible.. usually they have 2 arms with little pop on clips that are very small.. you can get it back on if you have very steady hands and a very small pair of tweezers, but if it has broken the clips.. theres not much hope for it im afraid, you might be up for a new keyboard.. which can be ordered through the manafacturer, but depending on which manafacturer also determines the price..

How can i put a keyboard in my laptop?

the piece of plastic above the key board is held in by clips,,it will unsnap..be very gental or it will break..after the top plastic is off youll see 3 screws holding the key board down,,there usally very small phillips head screws..then after the screws are out gentally lift the top of ther keyboard up..under that there will be a plastic wire strip..it will in clip at the mother board end..dont break the clip..and there is proolly 2 or 3 wires that go to your touch pad mouse...tehn just lift the key board out and follow these directions in reverse order to install the new one..

I have 2 letter keys on my laptop where the white plastic parts underneath the keys are broken. Can I get those parts somewhere?

Trust me you don't have to replace the WHOLE keyboard for a couple of keys. I got problem with one of my Dell key and I ordered it from a website and repaired it at home. It was the most convenient method and affordable too. Those guys have all the major brands with specific model numbers, series and it's all genuine. http://laptopkey.com
They sell the retainer clips with the key cap for just $5. Do check it out.

Sure, they can be purchased for a cheap price from ebay. tell them what key for what model and they wil send you ithe key, and the two clips and anything else you will need. Type the model of your laptop, and add "keyboard replacement key". good luck

Keyboard key

Unless any of the retaining pins are broken you should be able to fix it yourself. First you need to work out how the clips fit together and then replace these onto the keyboard. Then gently push the key back onto the clips. If any of the pins are broken then do a search of online stores as people often sell individual keys but you will need to tell them the exact make and model of the laptop.

Key fell off

hi the metal clips are those wich holds the key in place u need them to be pushed agianst the movment of the key soo they will keep the key in "their hands" grab a big set of tweezers and push the clips separate then push the key to its place (in the right direction) check very closely so the key inserts its place a couple of tries and you will success to do it good luck
