If you program all new codes it will automatically write over whatever codes you already have in there. If you just want to delete all the codes, then you have to go through and manually program them to 000.0000. If this doesn't work then ACE Hardware carries sledge hammers.

The only frequency that is in the brand new scanner is the last one I programmed. I have an older unit that has never had a problem

Sorry, but your BC350C is an oddball that does not allow manual programming. You have to lock on to a freq in the SCAN or SEARCH mode, and then move it to the PRIVATE bank. Details are in the operating manual which you can down load and print, at no cost:

How do you manually program known frequencies in a Uniden BC350C scanner? There are no numerals to key in.

My scanner was working fine until I held down the lock button. It didn't actually turn on the key lock (the key symbol didn't come up on the display) but now none of the keys respond to presses. I tried...

When you reintilize the scanner, it should lose all programming and settings. Hold down the Tune/Clear button while pushing the reset button. Do not release the Tune/Clear button until the display clears and returns.

MY RADIOSHACK NASCAR PRO-84 SCANS THREW CHANNELS BUT STAYS STUCK ON ONE CERTAIN WEATHER CHANNEL AND WONT CONTINUE SCANNING AND I NEED TO NO HOW TO DELETE THAT CHANNEL COMPLETELY.

The NOAA weather frequencies have constant broadcasts, so your scanner "locks" onto them. The only ways to prevent this are to either delete the weather frequency or lock it out. To delete, just program the frequency "0.0" (zero point zero) into the channel. To lock it out, press the L/O key while on the weather freq.

Reset factory

Press hold. Go to the old frequencies. Press L/O twice. First press is a Temporary Lock Out and the second press is a permanent lock out. Then press hold again and enter the new freq and press "E yes" button to enter. To verify it is in your scanner, press HOLD/RESUME button, and you should see the new freq you just entered. Repeat all the above steps above for each new frequency.

Scanner(POLICE) Question

Hi, using the manual button, step to channel 1 and enter your freq. including the point then press the E button. You might have to step to the next channel using the manual button again. Enter the next freq. and repeat. WX is the weather bands. Lockout is for locking out a nuisance channel(as an example, if someone's mic stays keyed, and keeps the squelch open).Priority is for any channel whose conversations you don't want to miss, just press the button for the specific channel. That way any time someone keys up on your priority channel, even if it's on another channel talking, will go right to the priority one. Review gives you a readout of the freq you programmed into a specific channel. If you need new or extra freq's check here on this site.

Trouble programming

Part of this answer depends on whether your area is still running the standard broadcast radios or the "newer" trunk tracking style. The two are not compatible. If they are still standard, then press the E button to enter the program mode. Enter the desired freq. and hit the E button will enter the freq into memory. Tap manual to step to the next channel and repeat the steps to keep programming. Open the squelch to hear static then close just a little to quiet the noise and it should lock on and talk to you. Good luck with it,,and happy hunting. Mechanic
